Education Cubes If you were following along during the my 10 Days of Math Games Series, you may have noticed that a number of the games included Education Cubes! In case you are wondering, Education Cubes are customizable learning blocks for all your educational need! Essentially, they are soft photo blocks with educational insert cards (rather than photos) that you can use to enhance your child’s learning by providing fun, hands-on educational experiences. We love our Education Cubes and use them regularly. They are a hit with all of my kids, from my 4 year old twins to my 8 year old 3rd grader!

Here are some of the printable math games from my Math Games Series which utilized Education Cubes:

I would be most interested in the addition insert cards. This would be a great way to keep on month facts during the summer.

One idea for new education cards is major geographic features (rivers, mountain ranges, rain forests, deserts, etc.) You could do one for US features and one set for world features.

  • Christan Resz

Oh wow! I’ve been considering Education Cubes for awhile now. However, we’re going into our second year of homeschooling and I’m learning that my daughter is a very visual and a very kinesthtic learner. So, just last week I revisited Education Cube’s website to see if they would work. Now that I’m looking at all the options I’m realizing that I can’t just pick one! We’ll use them for math, sure (our most difficult subject). Adding, subtraction, money, measurement. But I didn’t realize how many other subjects were available … P.E., Spanish, Geography? Wow. I think that my biggest problem would be that I’d be changing cards out multiple times each day!

One idea I have for the education cubes would be to use the body parts cards to learn more about the body. My daughter is fascinated with the human body right now. We’d roll the dice and then look up that body part in our various books to learn more about it. Then, she’ll use the information to make a mini book to include in a lapbook.

  • Corrie_sandefer

One idea for your cards is tree identification and plant identification. You could do a whole part of edible weeds, or common trees, or something like that. It would be like a picture of a plant or a leaf and the kids could identify it.

You could also do the different parts of the earth (like mantel, etc). The kids could roll the die then point to the correct part on the earth.
