Trying to form a new habit? This FREE printable can help! Use it to encourage yourself as you track your accomplishments!

Like you, I wear many hats and juggle lots of activities. Yet, I often find myself wishing that I was more diligent in so many areas of my life! I’m talking about big things, like daily prayer and Bible reading, to little things like flossing my teeth regularly.

I have decided that NOW is the time to stop wishing and actually start doing! It’s time to start making some changes! That is what this FREE “mom printable” is all about!

FREE 21 Day Habit Forming Printable

I often hear that one should begin with the end in mind. And, I do have a vision of the me that I really want to be…when it is all said and done.

I hope that by deliberately putting forth the effort to form some of the habits that I long to have will bring me one step closer to the me that I really want to be.

So, if you would like to join along, feel free to download the printable that I originally created for myself.

How to use the 21 Days of Becoming printable:

1) First, decide on ONE habit. Just one!

2) Write down your reason for wanting to develop the habit. I have found this helpful because it reminds me why it is important for me to be diligent in creating the habit. It helps me avoid giving up!

3) Find some sort of quote or scripture to encourage you to forge ahead and push through to form your habit.

4) Mark your start date and goal date. The goal date should be 21 days from the start date.

5) Finally, start forming your habit! Each day put a checkmark in the appropriate box under the column labeled 1st attempt. If you slip up and miss a day, start your 21 days of habit-forming over using the 2nd attempt column.

Once you have spent 21 consecutive days forming your habit, mark your completion date and celebrate because you are one habit closer to becoming “the me that I really want to be!”

Books to Help with Habit Forming

I’ve read quite a few books about habits and goals. Three of my favorite, most helpful books have been: The Power of Habit, by Charles Duhigg, Getting Things Done by David Allen, and Atomic Habits by James Clear!

The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity

Getting Things Done by David Allen

Want to break your goals down into monthly tasks? Be sure to grab my FREE Mama’s Mission of the Month printable checklist created based on the book, Getting Things Done!

If I had to select just one of these books, my all time favorite, by far, is Atomic Habits! The habit stacking technique alone has been a tremendous help in me actually starting to accomplish many of the goals I’ve set for myself!

Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones

Atomic Habits by James Clear

I absolutely love this book! For me, it has been life-changing! I have reached more goals and established more habits that I ever expected – just by what I’ve learned from reading this book!

Hey Mama Jenn–thank you so much!!! I’ve been trying to get into the habit again of having time with the Lord and read my Bible. This will come in handy, as it will with other things I want to get back into the habit of doing! Thanks! 🙂

Great information to have and use. We are still in our chillax mode, but this will be good for me and my family to develop small habits that will hep us in the fall. Thank you.
